Power Windows

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

S4 power windows will function for a short period of time after ignition is turned on. They stop working after a short period of time. Turning the car off, then restarting will allow the windows to function again.

Drivers door switches and ignition barrel have been cleaned and seem to be working fine.

This is an on going and annoying problem. Thank you

Did you grease the window slide components? Something might be binding up there and not allowing the window to move freely.

I would also check for other things not working when the windows go out (for example does the AAS still work, or the turn signals... both are on the same ignition wire).

If they do, then that rules it out to the fuse box or later in the system (so your ignition switch would still be good). If they don't then you have a bad ignition switch.
