First off, if you've got the interior out of an 89 GTU (I have an 89 GTU) the power windows were installed by someone other than the factory. No S5 GTU came with power windows. Quite possibly it was a dealer added feature, requested by the original purchaser. Aside from that, everything will install in your car up until the harness location under the dash. The S4 harness (from the door) will not plug into the S5 harness (under the dash). From this point you will have to custom wire the harness from the door to the location of the power window fuse under the dash. Unless you get lucky and by chance everything plugs into where it is supposed to go, custom wiring is what you have to do under the dash. I did this conversion to my S5 GTU, minus all the S4 interior trim. I installed an Autozone (GM replacement) dual power window switch in the center console. I took up most of my coinholder space.
