Power Window help???

I searched, need specific help however. 88 GXL. Window goes down fine. Goes up good till halfway then slows way down then 10 sec later it will go on up. Cleaned contacts on switch, didn't help. Removed door panel and removed window(w/o window it goes up/down good) I don't understand this tube thing that goes toward the front of the car(window regulator?)

Is the only thing that needs lubing the track in the middle?

Is there any write ups or fixs that explain more than the Factory manual?

Thanks

Had the exact same problem. Half way up, the window would go up slowly.

It turned out the Insulator, the one In which the window wedges In In the closed position was folded over. Causing the side of the window to catch this fold. Have a look at this Insulator strip If you understand what I am saying.

I put some WD-40 on the sides and now my left window goes up faster than the right one.

WD-40 dissolves plastics and some rubbers.

it is the fluid of the devil and does not belong on automotive products
