Hello. So my drivers power window died a week ago and i got it all apart today. The wire had worn through the 90 degree plastic fitting and was rubbing metal and had gotten itsself into a bind and the entire wire assembly is pretty much worthless.

Im wondering what the next step should be. Junk yard / pick and pull? do they make and sell these separately [doubtful]? what to do?

its on a 89' vert

 

1. Try to rewind the motor with some bike cable, but this is prone to breaking since you have to somehow attach a new anchor that can take the weight of the window.

2. Junkyard or ebay. You have to buy the whole assembly (regulator, cables & motor), since separating the parts means unwinding the cables from the motor. Rewinding them is not at all fun. Just make sure you get it from another vert. The coupe uses a chain system.
