I'm putting power steering pump and ecu in a FB. Anyway looking at the schematic it shows the 6 wire plug on the power steering pump but doesn't show the 2 pin plug. What's the 2 pin plug for? It's an assembly from a (s4) 87 gxl

I looked at my s5 (1990) convertible and its a different pump and wiring.

Thanks.

Nobody? Other side going to the pump is a red and a black wire. The black buzzes out as ground. Assumption the red is 12v ign? Anybody? I don't see it listed in any wiring diagram

Looks like the steering angle sensor. Disconnecting it should result in "decreased steering effort over 25mph." <-According to page 15-84/85 of the S4 Body Electrical portion of the FSM.

I got that diagram but my PS pump has 2 plugs. A 6 pin (the diagram shows) and a 2 pin (diagram doesn't show.

Coming out of the pump on the 2 pin. It's a red wire and a black wire. Turns into (when connected vehicle side) a black wire and a black with light green stripe. I believe the black is ground and black/green is 12v ign. Anybody confirm on their S4? This is 87 GXL

The LG/B wire runs to the Power Steering Relay on one end and Air Supply Valve and Pressure Regulator Control Valve on the other end.
