power questions for modded FC...

i have an S5 n/a....so im not familiar with turbo performance.

i know about lag and its effects.

but ive always wondered if lets say a turbo cars turbo spools at 3000rpm......up until then is the car running at stock HP then as the turbo spools it gives it the extra punch? so if we're talking about an S5 T2, its running at 160 til the turbo bumps it to 200.....correct?

im asking this to know what a nitrous system will feel like. the car will run stock until i hit the button in which case will give me my selected HP rating.....is that how turbos feel like too?

turbo also has some gradual boost though to, it doesn't go 0-(whatever psi) instantly.

Ummm, are you serious? It's just a basic line graph. One axis has the RPM's and one has the scale of HP/Torque.

Such as : https://www.rx7club.com/time-slips-dyno-128/s5tii-dyno-pic-340049/

well in that regard, yes....sorry i thoguht u meant reading it thru a technical standpoint.....which i ve seen ppl do when looking at dyno graphs.

but i guess that answeres my question. so for my nitrous system, ill feel the instant 100hp shot as i hit the button......hmmmmm....scary..lol

A turbo motor would make less power at a certain RPM before it hit's positive manifold pressure than it would if you put a free-flowing header in it's place. Remember, the turbo is a restriction to the exhaust.
