Power Pulse Presilencer

Hey guys

I have a RB street racing header that I'll be installing with my engine build and need to mate it up to the single inlet Y-Pipe also from racing beat. The Y pipe was already on the car and the header came with when I baught it.

I've already baught the flanges but am trying to find a good silencer to use. This will all be for a beefed up NA build and I want to get the noise down as much as I can without spending hundreds of dollars. I may go more extensivly into the exhaust later but right now it looks like my best and cheapest option is to go with the large power pulse presilencer that racing beat sells. I was going to get the large one assuming it would be quieter than the medium one. Anyone have some better suggestions for getting her more quiet?

bah i didn't notice a whole lot of difference with the presilencer on my n/a, at least not $250 worth or whatever (unless you need it for your 6 ports). It will make your car sound a little smoother though.

Actaully, I think it helps quite a bit. It takes out the buzzy tone for one thing, plus I think it jsut quiets it down in general.
Also, you can find them for cheap in the forum classifieds sometimes.

Well I would have to get one of the universal ones they have with the 3" inlet and outlet since I'll have to fab something to fit. Sounds like that is what I'll do unless someone can suggest something quieter without dropping a boat load of cash.

I would highly suggest Dynomax Bullet mufflers. They are small and cheap and reduce sound along with making it slightly deeper toned. Last i checked you can find them for like 50 bucks each. 1 would probably do, but you could use more

DynoMax Bullet Race muffler:

"Straight-through design for maximum exhaust flow and power
All-welded construction for maximum durability
All-aluminized materials for long life
Uses CRF (Continuous Roving Fiber) for maximum sound control "

Sounds to me like a glorified glasspack....
