Power FC install tips - S5 turbo

Hi all,
Im looking for some advice on installing an apexi power FC that I have bought.
The power FC is one of the special AP Engineering units that comes with the adapter harness and FD MAP sensor and IAT sensor.
Where is the best place to put the sensors? I guess MAP sensor can be connected to any vacuum nipple on the UIM? Is there any particular nipple you would recommend?
I assume the best place for IAT sensor is same place as the stock sensor? Just tap the hole bigger?

My intake and exhaust system are stock right now except for a HKS catback exhaust.
I am thinking of removing the MAF and stock airbox and sticking on a cone filter to free up the intake, but id like to hear your opinions on this. I know it will be sucking hot air but I feel that the stock intake is pretty restrictive and boost seems to fall off at high rpm. Not sure if this is intake or exhaust issue though.
I know freeing up exhaust has more benefit, but i dont want to have to deal with the smell, noise and boost creep that comes with removing the cat.

any advice appreciated!!
thanks

yes, you can remove the AFM, the PFC does not use it.
the MAP sensor should have an adaptor and plug into the same plug as the stock MAP sensor, and you can use that vacuum line as well.
and the FD Intake temp sensor should just go in place of the FC one, be careful with the FC one, its NLA, and someone would probably buy it to fix theirs

Oh you're right it does come with an adapter harness for the MAP sensor! That makes sense that it plugs into stock location.
Yeah ive heard those FC temp sensors are hard to find now... I managed to pick up a spare intake elbow that I can drill/tap to fit the FD sensor so I won't even attempt to remove the stock sensor. Will swap out the entire intake elbow and keep the sensor in there in case I ever want to swap back to factory ECU.

Im unsure about removing the AFM and stock airbox now... there does not seem to be an easy way to get cold air to a cone filter in FC without cutting and the FC engine bay gets very hot...
Do you know if AFM is much of a restriction compared to the airbox? If im keeping the airbox and snorkle is it even worth removing AFM?
