Power door locks One or both?

Hey, quick stupid question. I have noticed my GXL has a power door lock on the passenger side, is there also supposed to be one on the driver's side as well? I noticed the passenger side locks when I lock the drivers side but it doesn't work vice versa.

I know early in life the Drivers door was replaced but dont know if it was one off another GXL or just a S5. I figure spare doors were a bit scarce since my car was built in early Feb 89 and purchased not too long afterwords.

the system on RX-7s is a follow me system, where there is only a door lock motor on the passengers side, the drivers side it simply a switch and when you move that switch, the motor in the passengers door moves.

Question...is the passenger side ALWAYS supposed to lock with the drivers side? Sometimes mine does it...sometimes it doesn't. I'm guessing I've got a bad connection somewhere.

Well if it is not locking and unlocking, then chances are the drivers door latch switch (the latch you lock and unlock from inside the car) is bad or needs cleaning.

I noticed mine got better after I snugged up the PDL relay connections in the left rear quarter panel of my 89. You may want to try the same thing.
