Power being drained...MAYDAY!! please help
Well I added a few grounds to my car: boost sensor, tranny->firewall, and negative batt terminal-> body. I also taped up the wires that run to the little plug on the alternator cause there was a few places on the wires where the copper was showing through. Now when I try to start my car all the inside lights are just as bright as they have always been but when I turn the key everything dims and the motor turns over really slowly but will never catch. As soon as I quit trying to start it all the lights come back just as bright as they can be. Could I have made the wires that go to the alternator touch or short out or something, would that even cause the problem I'm having? I tried jumping it off but it still wouldn't start...I didnt mess with anything else electrical so i dont know what could cause this, my battery is only about 3 months old. Its not in an easy position to push it off but I can push it off it will just be hard to position it without it starting. I'm also scared to push start it if there is something shorting out or something. Its an 88 TII any ideas guys?

Just a little more info. I just went out and tried to start the car, it still wouldn't start. Now none of the lights are coming on so the battery must be totally dead and i know last night it atleast had a little charge in it. I have seen partially dead batteries go completely dead so i dont know whats going on. I guess im gonna rip of my IC and retape those wires that run to the alternator. Anyone know what that little plug on the alternator does?
