im in an 86 rx7 gxl, i just recently put in a new car stereo, which is the last thing i did before this problem started. it is as follows, my brake lights are no longer working. every other power and light option is working except for those. i checked the fuses, and they seem alright. i cant quite put my finger on what could be the cause. they were working prior to the stereo being installed, i know on my VW there is a whole slew of lighting and dash features that run off the same power lead. is this the same as the rx? thanks in advance for you r help.

 

I've installed many stereos and never had that problem.
what the hell did you do man?
Did you take the stereo off including wirings and put it back to the way it was to see if the problems still exists?
