weld on an external wastegate...but then you're almost defeating the purpose of a hybrid

Blue TII did that, and he still had boost creep problems

I have the internal wastegate ported to 30mm, and an adjustable acuator cotrol arm for it. I have no clip and a 60-1 compressor side, and I hit every pound of boost I turn my controller to, but with no additional creep at all. And the boost holds till well past 7k, and kicks in at ~2800. It's all in the corect setup.

Yeah, this still had boost creep. Now it has a clipped "P" trim exhaust wheel instead of the clipped "O" trim wheel.

I also made a divider for the WGs so that it is a fully divided system again. That should help regain some boost response lost to the larger exhaust wheel.

Here is the car, I will let you click for pics so it doesn't clutter thread

Yeah, this is true. My set-up is really more suited to a large single turbo- the stocker doesn't have any business being there it is just too small no matter what I do...

But, I like the fast spool-up and the fact it is low and far back in the car (fourty pounds of turbo).

I have a S5 turbine housing wich was cut and machined to fit a slightly clipped T04 Turbine, and then a new wet center housing and a t04b compressor housing and compressor, the wastegate is ported to the max!
then to support this,
Greddy V-spec FMIC,
550cc primaries, 1600cc Secondaries
had microtech lt-8 going to Haltech E6X,
upgraded clutch and flywheel
Engine S5 Engine with a large Street Port

So does 4x720cc injectors and the upgraded RP fuel pump sound like it would deliver enough fuel for a BNR Stage 3 hybrid bolted to a RB 3" turbo back exhaust?

I am using a BNR 3 . Funny thing was I sent him a S5 turbo. I over ported my WG so I needed a new hotside. So, I had him put on the S4 hotside and throw in a S4 manifold that dosen't have the twin scroll.

So, these are the mods that I have /will need.

-BNR 3
-720 PRIM /16000SEC
-Greddy Vspec FMIC
-RB Turbo back
-Fresh rebuild , streetported, new housings on RA seals
-Some sort of EMS (Microtech or Haltech but that E6X has me worried)
-TE Wideband / EGT

We will see how she goes.

James

I have a to4b vtrim hybrid turbo
2x550cc 2x720cc injectors
rtek 1.7 chip
safc
rewired rx7.com fuel pump
removed emissions
old school hks fmic (thermal wrapped)
straight through exhaust
stock ported motor (for now)
probably more just a little fried from this past weekend
running on 15psi of boost.

pretty damn quick setup that I feel is fast enough for now until I get the engine rebuilt and very largely streetported.

t04e .60a/r. hot side is bored out to 3" from turbine to back plate. I bought the turbo used, so im not 100% if the turbine wheel is clipped, or even what wheel it is. I'll have some 1/4mile #'s come spring.

thunderfab 3" dp/mp, apexi n1 single.
s5 agressive sp motor
9lb flywheel
microtech lt-8
walbro pump.
and all the little stuff to go along w/it.

im kinda dissapointed no one has dyno charts/time slips.

atkins rebuild, stock port
running a BNR stage III s4 turbo
750cc primaries, 890cc secondaries high imp. RC units
walbro 255 LPH
greddy e-manage
FMIC 24.5"L (endtank to endtank 17.5"L core) 12" H and 3"thick 3"outlets 2.5" piping
greddy type S bov
greddy profec B (type 1) boost controller
bonez 2.5" DP, 2.5" single passenger exit exhaust, no cats.
ACT 6 puck clutch
no emissions, no rats nest
TB mod
ported TB
silicone hoses
autometer boost gauge

All the parts are here, I am pieceing it together. I intend on running the TMIC for trial purposes, high boost being 8psi, low being 5-6psi. Car will be dyno tuned this summer at RX7store hopefully. Hoping for 12's in the 1/4. Actually, just hoping it won't blow up. Considering running 1600cc secondaries, or running (2) additional 550's on the UIM to for 15psi+

bnr is a guy that builds these hybrid turbos and everyone has really good experience with him. http://www.rx7store.net/index.asp?Pa...S&Category=364 click on the link and all those turbos are for the second gen that he has built or actually you give him your core and he does the rest. hybrid turbos are turbos that you can mate to the stock manifold so you don't have to worry about getting a manifold, oil and water lines, downpipe and wastegate with a full turbo upgrade. This saves tons of money and can yeild some pretty damn inpressive numbers. If you look at the site above it will show you what he does.
