Post your cold air intake here

Hey guys i used the search and found alot of designs for cold air intakes. What i wanna know is what has been the most effective? Im looking at making one up for my car and im looking for a proven design, im open for ideas though. So far im looking at keeping it in the stock location and am looking for somewhere to duct the cold air from that isnt gonna suck in alot of water if it rains, any suggestions?

LOL.....maybe a common question on here, but down here in aust its usually over looked. Most people just chuck a pod on the end of their turbos.
I reckon if you can keep the stock airbox & mount a pod inside with an additional cold air duct, itd work great. Like cutting a hole underneath the airbox & duct up a pipe from the front bumper into it, but most people run their FMIC pipes there. I ran my FMIC pipe from the turbo in between the rad & body, where the stock wiring loom runs, so i can do this mod later on. Im just working out whether ill actually need to do this with the RICE RACING WI kit im planing on buying in the future.
i remember ages ago seeing a "mariah motorsport" shield setup for FC on here. Do many people use this CAI?

The Mariah shield- or a homebrewed version like it- only solves half the problem.
Once you've isolated the filter from the engine bay you still need to provide a source of external air.

A search for either "cold air' or "ambient air" intake will turn up dozens of solutions.

Good filter (K&N, Apexi) piped outside of the engine bay, i.e. your fenderwell and your done. P.S. How sweet is having that EDFC? I have read good things about that system.
