$2900 For 89' TII With 10k on Rebuild
$500 For Paintjob
$300 for Rear Axle Repairs
$90 Intake
$30 FCD
$30 Boost Gauge
$130 Subwoofer
$120 Amplifier
$60 Sub Enclosure
$20 Rewiring lots crap
$40 Headlights
$40 Floormats
$40 Shift Boot
$50 Misc Cleaning Crap
$40 Indiglo Gauges
$40 Dash Cluster
$60 Speakers
-----------------------------
Total - $4490

If you count premium gas as money spent on the car, that number would be a LOT higher, lol

Also, doing some modifications:
$350(ish) Bonez 2.5" DP + High Flow Cat
$100 Misc Gaskets and such
$50(ish) Muffler Tips (mine are like rusted to hell)
$100 Front Speakers
$120(ish) Electric Boost gauge
$100 Walbro 255

Now it comes to:
$5310

On top of that, i'll probably be getting some FD wheels and drag tires only for track use which will set me back another couple hundred. I think I made out pretty well, and i'm not even sure where i'm going to from there, probably a ton of misc. expenses along the way if anything breaks or I do misc upgrading.

$4000 on practically perfect 89 gtu
$350 agx's
$200 racing beat header and ps
$380 borla catback
$120 apexi intake
$150 cd changer/radio
$100 T2 4pot front calipers
$80 rb ss brake lines
$90 hawk hps pads
$50 indiglo gauges (might take these out)

$5530....not much fixing, mostly upgrades since the car was basically pristine, however my cost will go up a few hundred fixing the smashed rear right corner i got from a nice guy in a hit and run on christmas morning

Not sure is this was a joke or not, if not then uh, I don't know what to say. 5 thousand dollars for an intake, and a 4 rotor with cams huh?

bought an 87 n/a that ran perfect and was in perfect shape for $1800. then i hit a cow(not joking) totaled it and bought a 88 n/a with a bad engine and just got done with putting the 87 engine in it for $500. Right now i only paid $500 because the owner of the cow had to pay for the cost .

well it seems the N/a guys have the "cheaper" cars, now all we need is a 0-60 chart on both turbo cars and N/a cars and we'll se who got more bang for thier bucks the N/a guys or the Turbo guys...... on average i'd say the N/a guys are saving $10k so far. I wonder how much faster the Turbo's are....(of course modded turbo vs. modeed N/a vs. price......)
