is it possible to install a s4 short block into a s5 w/ the s5 manifolds etc.?

so i have a xtra good s4 turbo short block and, a s5 turbo 2 with a bad block, i know that that you cant put the s4 long block into a s5 cause of the wiring diffrences, but can i bolt everything off the s5 onto the s4 shortblock, im thinking the only thing that i will have to change is the flywheel and clutch, has anybody ever done something like this?

thanx in advance for any info

don't quote me on this but, i can't think of any difference if you have the proper counter weight, and flywheel. as long as you mean short block.

the s5 intake manifold will not just "bolt on". look at the gaskets on mazdatrix's site and you will see what I mean. I am sure with a little drilling it will work, though.

Yes it will work. i did it last week and the car runs strong all i need now is a tps. the mods you need to do are fill in the mouth at the bottom of the intake s5 and a new plug on the water temp sensor and plug up the mop and tie it down somewhere

BTW: its a n/t
