The FC has a wire that grounds when the car is not in gear.
I am doing a remote start in my vert. can you tell me which wire it is to save me looking through the diagrams?

sounds to me like you have a non stock modified car...
i have an 87 base and it has the phone dial wheels must be a misprint and the resistor pack for the low impedance injectors

Neutral safety is Green/Black at the ECU or harness coming in from the engine.

It will have ground on the wire, when the tranny is in the neutral position.

Phone dials are an option on the base

I have an 87 sport and it has a bunch of connectors in the door... I put s5 mirrors on and they were power so I plugged them in and got the switch for them... work great

Next Step...

I want to put power mirrors and power door locks on. What parts would I need? My boss said that on some cars you actually require the window becuase of the rail difference due to the motor. I think what I mainly need is the cover with the switches and the motor? What else would I need?

And yes I got a bunch of connectors that arent hooked up to anything in my door.

Thanks, I fianlly looked in the diagrams off the net and found that and a few other things I needed. I finally have my remote start installed now with multiple safety inhibits.

ok--you could either:

1--get the proper harnesses(if your car doesnt have them yet), and then install the motors and switches....OR

2--replace the doors with power-equipped ones, then wire it all up all the way, then install the switch(mirrors), then paint to match if you couldnt get the right color doors....

maybe it's just me, but I think that I would prefer the first method. Up to you....

I have to agree with the first way too.

You can make a harness and get plugs from Radio Shack to have the ability to unplug stuff at a later date if a factory harness is hard to find. Power window circuits are fairly simple and don't need that many wires.
