is it possible to combine engine parts???

hey quick question for all knowledge with rebuilds and such. is it possible to take rotors and rotor housings from an 86 n/a and combine with intermediate and end housings from an 87 TII, TII lim and uim and tII turbo assembly? I realize slightly higher compression of 9.4 from 8.5 but decent tuning and such anyway not the question at hand. Can it be done? I have an N/A parts car on the way and my TII has huge gashes from thrown apex seals in the rotors and housing. Like always thanks to all fellow rotorheads for the help.

Just swap rotor housings if you have S4 ones. You can grind out the exhaust diffusers while you're at it on the NA housings. I wouldn't go high comp rotors especially if you begin to mod. You'll need probably a standalone at that point since you'll want to control your ignition timing. So its better to find some used but good condition TII rotors.
