is this possible?

so im just about done with my motor swap but i've got one little issue left. i went from an s4 to s5 so now i've got the typical rad problem. so my question is is it possible to take this to a radiator shop and have them swap the plastic top off my s4 radiator for a s5 top? it seems like it would be possilbe and way easier than trying to track down a s5 radiator

Okie so now you have a s4 body with a s5 engine right? You might have to go with an s5 rad. since the front of the engine is different. If possible buy the aluminum thermostat neck from somewhere. mazdatrix etc.

no way of filling the radiator due to s4 has the filler at the t stat housing and the s5 is on the radiator its self.

Actually there are S4 radiators that have the filler on the radiator itself. I believe it is 87 and up or late 87 and up. My 88 had the filler on the radiator itself.

If you have the old motor, take of the water pump housing and switch them. Done deal, or if you want to buy a s5 radiator with the top cap, pm me. We can work something out. It's pretty easy on what has to be done.

1)Buy a radiator (S5 89-91)
2)Switch water pump housings. (Cheaper)
