porting help

porting help

when (street,racing ex.) porting a 87 13b engine do i need to make any other mod. like computer up grades or can i just port the engine

On a non-turbo, as long as you do a moderate port like a street port then you are fine on the stock computer, etc. If you go bridge then you will need a standalone to run it right.

You will be better off just doing the average intake and exhaust mods. You will run into a lot of problems if you just port your stock n/a. You still have a lot of modifications to do after a port job it will not run the same hell you will lose power because you ecu wont recocnize the changes.
