porting and ecu
is just fully rebuilt my '90 turbo II, and got a large streetport done. so everything else is completely stock (turbo, ecu). is it safe to run stock ecu with that port done. or should i get some type of piggy-back or stand alone as soon as possible.
by the way, i'm not running the car hard at all (max 6.5k shifts, if ever).

I was under the impression that a stock ecu wouldn't run a ported motor? I don't really have any knowledge in this department but when I got my engine built they made sure I had an aftermarket ecu before they did the work

If you're on the stock turbo, then the stock ECU will be fine. You'll need larger secondaries, upgraded pump and then some way to control it (S-AFC....). Also port that wastegate and get an FCD.
