Ported Engine but I want gas milage and the tiniest of sounds from exhaust

I know im gay but still is it possible to have a ported engine and run a quiet exhaust that will deliver the full or 3/4 of teh porting job from the engine plus still kepp my gas milage intact? My exhuast right now consists of one cat and rusted mufflers and sounds like crap... any ideas i have about 600-700 to spend. ( im premixing for flames )

The Racing Beat system is REALLY quiet! I really like it.

And premixing for flames?

Some street porting styles keep good drivability (torque), low noise and 15-25mpg gas mileage while having significantly more top end power than stock ports. It's all in the shape of the ports . . who were you thinking of having do the ports, or are they already done?

Pre-mix leans out the mix a tad(not really noticable for street dirvers) not enrichen it. The flames if any are from the injectors running rich with the stock ECU. but he has a cat in the car so I don't know wtf he is talking about.

Puss! get that **** so it won't even idle! , a mild streetport with a good exhaust setup should be what your looking for, as long as you keep the RPMs down you'll get much better gas milage
