Hey guys, my exhaust is making a popping noise it is not erratic pretty much in rythm, car will not register more than 5 psi of boost now that it has started doing this! I pulled the plugs and listened to the rotors everything sounded great. Checked ignition and one of the trailing igniters is not igniting. Could this be the reason?

 

sounds like possible missfire. does it do it all the time. or only when cold?

 

All the time since it started it started doing this under boost. I drove it back home it idled perfectly and did not smoke. Just has a constant and in time popping noise from idle to whatever. By the way i have 60-1 and 50mm hks wastegate.

 

sound like your miss firing, and if your igniter is not igniting that could be why.

 

missfiring or you need an exhaust gasket lol

 

i have the same thing...i think its misfiring.....
