Will P/S rack from 89 fit 88??????
Will a power steering rack and pinion from an 89 convertible fit my 88 convertible? I have an 89 parts convertible car and the rack is good. My 88 is leaking badly from the boot cover on the passenger side. Ratio dont matter, I just need to stop the leak and get steering, and not interested in manual conversion.

Unless you are swapping the ENTIRE PS system, then they have to be of the same type. There was (I believe) a speed sensing type, and an electronically controlled type. The difference was that one has 2 lines coming out of the pump, and the other has 3. If the number of lines matches, then you should be good to go.
