Popping noise on cold starts???
My 91/na pops out the exhaust,(like small backfires) when started cold for a few minutes until warm and then the popping goes away. My plugs are about 1 month old and wires i replaced last summer. Timing is dead on..... Could my coils be worn out???

Do you hear the popping when your driving, like if you rev it up to 6k and then wind down in gear slowing to a stop?

have 1 year old factory exhaust setup including cat to muffler from autozone. All emissions are still there with bran new acv.
I read one thread saying that the coils could be getting weak causing this popping only when cold. But what i thought is that coils don't get weak they work or they don't right???
