Poping sound from under the dash??

Poping sound from under the dash??

okay so this started up the other day i was cruising along and came to a bend in the road and when i turned the wheel it felt like i had no power steering and then i forced it and it pop and i got it back its been doing this now for two days im thinking is probly the rack and pinion?? any help??

thats been happening to me lately too, but only when i make hard left turns. i havent had anytime to check it out cause im always at school or work. if you find out or if i do ill let you know.

does it actually come from under the dash or could it be from under the hood?

i havent had a chance to look to be honest and its only somtimes turning both directions like on my way to school it did it the whole way but on the way home it only did it once maybe twice and at first i thought it was like a tie rod end but i looked under the car and everything looked good and im pretty sure its from under the dash

that's what i thought too, the sway bar link and the sway hitting something.

im gonna try and get it up on jack stands and see if i can get a good look just been busy with school i have a feeling its gonna be something stupid it started happening the other day after i went thro a flooded street pretty much it was at the bottom of a hill and i didnt realize it was like flooded

Get someone to wiggle and turn the steering wheel back and forth near center and full turns with the car on and off the ground, and look under the dash and under the front steering and suspension. Try this with the engine on and off.
