Pondering REteds parralel fuel diagram, and how NOT to use AN fittings

Is there any feasable way to do this without going AN fittings? Maybe I am just being cheap, but I hate to spend the money on AN stuff.

Here is the diagram:

well in order to use the parallel system you need to remove the stock FPR and most likly the PD. leaving you with 2 rail ends with just threads.

I'm sure you could find nipples that screw in instead of AN fittings. and find some Y's with nipples. and a FPR with nipples. and just use fuel line.

Yeah, I already have the FPR. I am going to try to find the fittings. Is there any advantage to AN fittings?

you get to use the pretty exterior braided lines, they clean things up alot, But other than that I would think the only other "REAL' benefit would be that with the an they thread on and thus almost no posibility of them "poping" off like the clamped niple ones.

I thought of the same thing when i started my parallel fuel rail set-up.. But with AN fittings it gave me the peace-of-mind. Now i know that nothing will pop off and start a fire.

MOst likely you still have to use AN fittings.. But you can get away with S/S lines if you use some fittings that screws snug to the rail with a barb end for a fuel hose line.

yah, you can use barb fittings and regular fuel hose with hose clamps. sure beats all that blood, sweet and tears(literally) trying to get fitting on a SS line, imagine all those fittings plus saves money.

I myself was trying to figure out an alternative to this. You can use rubber lines and cheap fittings. You can do the whole system without earls fittings for next to nothing. Really your stock system is clamped on too.

I ended up going with earls since I wanted the bling. COme to think about after spending the money on fittings there is no bling left

usem the socketless stuff that thye got. i used that on mine and i am very impresed. i have two of thsoe 500 watt halogen worklihgts that will burn anything htey touch, well i acidentaly left the fuel line sitting against it for about 30 moinutes and it barley even got hot. everything else i have that have touched those lights has melted or burned. the socketless stuff is cheaper, easier and works just as good for fuel line stuff.

They are flooded up here In Toronto. I think I'll just ask Ian for the part #'s. I'll post the part #'s so everyone could get them with the added convieniece of not having to source them out to begin with, Including Jarrett.
