Mine doesn't have an engine at the moment, does that count as an engine problem?

I can see that as a problem.

Let's see... This poll sucks. I have more than one problem.

Bad gas mileage ~12mpg shifting at 3,000rpms
No power after 6,500rpms (5th/6th ports and VDI not working maybe)
Bad idle
Both front fenders are dented (I have replacements but they need to be painted)
Interior needs to be cleaned up and have this and that replaced
Exhaust leak

Hopefully all this will be taken care of this winter.

POLL: Whats wrong with this thread?

A: you can chose only one answer.

B: there are too many problems to list for all the owners here.

C: For some it would be easier to list WHAT works.

Cosmetic is one of my problems, my largest one, too. However, a close second is my oil leak. Third is the flooding, thank goodness I've got a fuel cut switch. More cosmetic work. Umm... Having some drivetrain issues, too, I think.

Mine is actually perfect inside, few dents on the passenger side out.

Just needs an electrical ground or something cleaned. My seat-belt light won't shut off .

My body is straight but needs a new paintjob. My interior is clean as hell. I have the engine ready to go in, but I am waiting for my SS Oil Lines and Mazdaspeed Engine Mounts

The soon to be replaced list:

Plugs and wires
Every Fuel line is spoongy as hell
2nd gear Syncro is shot, so probably replace the entire tranny.
Cut springs for "Kewl Lowering action" on OEM struts and shocks... be replacing all of that real soon wiht new Eibach springs (probably raise it about .5 inches) and KYB adjustable gas all around.
Exhaust sound annoys me, so I'll be replacing it soon as well.

After that:
Need a turbo timer, sitting in it for 5 minutes after hard driving is responsible... but dull.
pop out the minor hail damage and door dings.
Replace the sunroof with kewl glass one.

Then probably start looking toward performance upgrades.

Thanksfully my mechanic and I have an arangment

I suppose it's a good thing that I only have some minor cosmetic problems. At least it doesn't need to be perfect to drive it.

Cosmetic - my paint blows, and there are alot of dings and such in the doors
Electrical - Interior lights haven't worked since the car got broken into
Fuel - Might actually be TPS/electrical related... hates idling and hunts all over the place til it settles on a rpm it likes

Lets see:
bad coolant seal
bad torque convertor(yes it's an auto...looking to get a manual)
bad idle(Timing seems to be way off, yet, no one seems ot have a damn timing gun to actually time mines right)
Little cosmetic damage(BMW muffler print in my front bumper, paint chippage/warpage)
Some other eletrical stuff. And no heat or AC.

Unhappy

I'm having problems with a rough transmission that knocks especially when lifting the clutch off on startup. I thought I got rid of that when I replaced the master and slave cylinder, but I guess not.
Also, cosmetically, my car was broken into and the center console destroyed when the person removed the cd player

Cosmetic - interior is too brittle, the usual pieces have broken, rust is starting on the exterior

Electrical - wiper delay is dead

Also my master cylinder is leaking AGAIN, time for another replacement

88SE- Cosmetics: needs both bumpers, new tail lights, paint the whole thing, fill in the doors, fix guardrailed left rear corner, replace windshield.
Mechanical: Needs new right front weel hub(cracked in half but still using as its my DD), wiperswitch is toast, new exhaust is needed, wiper fluid is not squirting at all and light is on.
Interior: Basic 18yr old car stuff, replace the brittle plasit or epoxy it for strength and paintability, seats have rips in the fake leather stuff on teh edges.

89GXL- Cosmetics: Dented fenders(both sides), big dent around teh fuel door, windshield is cracked, paint, front bumper(will be seekign new S5 replacement), headlight motor for drivers side, pull the fornt end back into shape, replace tails as well.
Mechanical: Replace shifter, exhaust, battery, grounding issues, fuel pump or clogged sock, clutch, clutch cylinders.
Interior: Fairly sound, requires new trim in places and the dash may need replaced(black is fun), new shift boot, fix crappy mechanical seatbelts.
