Polishing calipers
Have a set of 4 piston calipers I'm swapping on soon so I decided to clean them up and sand em down and polish them before I rebuild them. Its below freezing now and my hands and feet went numb, so I didn't get much done so far unfortunately..
I'll prolly just end up doing the front face and the top since those will be the only parts you'll see anyways. Anyone else done this before?

And heres one done so far (Not the best job but it'll suffice, its almost 0 degrees out there so I did the best I could with numb hands for now)
I think it'll look pretty decent from a little distance away through black faced wheels with a 3.5" polished lip on a black car eh

go red all the way, they look awsome, even if the rear calipers arnt super pretty they look better when they are the same color as the fronts. its really easy..just do it, you will be glad you did.

I'm not a fan of red calipers unless they're painted that way stock (Like on Porsches, or Brembo kits) The actual paint job is what makes them look so good in that colour..

If you want pretty polihed calipers, it would be much better to start with the FD calpiers, they are much smoother, and would look WAY better polished than our FC ones. Umm, also, I think that ulness you only drive your car to the show and back, and never track it or drive it hard, there is no point in doing this as the brake dust will just eat it/ cover the polish and make it look like poo. But it was a good try.

I'd get them chrome powder coated. It would be a lot easier to keep that polished look. Are you using a Dremel with a mounted stone to get to the bottom of the pits before polishing?

yeah I hated ricers that painted their stock oem brakes in RED or YELLOW...what are you trying to say? sheesh..
but since you have them out...just get them nice and clean and I really liked the black with the silver MAZDA showing through. Very clean and classy..and you are not trying too hard ya know? That looked the best IMO. good luck either way!
