plugs + previous owner = major confusion, and engine acting wierd

so i figgured i'd take a look at the plugs, i get out the socket and pull them. first thing i noticed was the really wierd electrode and stuff, second i noticed there were 2 9's in the front rotor and 2 7's in the rear rotor. i suppose the previous owner got confused and thought leading and trailing meant front and rear rotors. anyway, any thoughts or ideas on what this would screw up, i've only been getting 17.x MPG and the engine has been acting kinda wierd. 1st off there's the oh so lovely 3800 rpm hesitation that comes around half the time. but beyond that, on the way to the redline ~5k rpm+ it will suddenly gain and loose power, feels like mabe a ~15-25 hp comming and going, it's really wierd. again it only does it some of the time. but any idea's? also anyone got a pic of what the tips of these plugs are supposed to look like new so i might have some chance of figguring out how worn they are? btw, did i menition the plugs on this car are really fun to get to, they look so easy, but they are kinda a pita...

engine/spark plug issues/questions

ok, now that the big bad internet ate the first post and tried to eat the second one i typed, i'll try and remember most of what i had to say.

anyway, i figgured i'd pull my plugs to see how badly they were worn and if they needed to be replaced, first thing i noticed was these suckers are different from anything i've ever used before. second i noticed the front rotor had 2 9's and the rear had 2 7's. i figgure the previous owner got confused on what leading and trailing meant. anyone have any idea what, if any, problems that might cause? also in addition to the oh so lovely 3800 rpm hesitation that comes around half the time. on the way to the redline sometimes it feels like it's gaining and loosing power, enough that you know it's showing up and taking off. any idea what that might be? oh yeah, anyone have a pic of what the plugs look like new so could have half a chance of figguring out how worn these suckers are? that and where exactly am i supposed to ground the wire from the pressure sensor(3800 rpm fix)?

Swapping the recommended plugs around doesn't really affect anything.
Swapping the spark plug WIRE positions can cause headaches!

The internet didn't eat your post, you posted the same thing several times.

I have merged your threads and deleted the duplicates.

yeah, when im posting i've learned to be patient... i give it all the time it needs, i even open up another window.

but as far as your car goes, ive never had that problem.

not to hyjack your thread, but i have a sparatic problem of my own. some times the engine will just fall on its face, like stumble. scared the **** out of me a few times, because it happened at WOT and i thought the damn seals let go. (hadn't even put 50 miles on the 100K mi junkyard jewl )

EVERYthing on the car is the same except for the motor (tall block) and the electrical harness.

im thinking its the CAS because thats all i can think it could be, thats the only thing different in the ingnition circuit from my previous engine.

ive never had this problem on my old engine... so im going to swap out the CAS with my old one.

i dont think this is fuel related, but i could be wrong... its too abrupt, like a switch. so that leads me to believe the a/f charge isnt igniting = ignition problem.

the two leading coils utilize the same ecu output, they fire both leading spark plugs at the same time...

the almighty wasted spark
