Exclamation please!! stay on please!

tomorrow im gonna swap out all of the vacuum hoses i hope this takes care of my problem, this rx7 is a teaser first the will start off idling high "like all rx-7" then it will start to drop slowly to try to find its idle and then it will just shut off. the car will only stay on as long as i keep giving it gas. can the vacuum lines be doing this??? or am i just wasting my time doing this?? what can this be ???

Yes, vacuum leaks can cause idle problems. Do some searches in this forum for the various techniques used to discover such leaks and choose one that suits you. Also, check for unmetered air entering the intake after the AFM and make sure the AFM connector is attached.
