Please identify these things!

Hi everyone. I'm out trying to diagnose the idle problem I have with my 88 TII. I will spare you the details, but please tell me what these things are!

There is a metal rod that connects to the the throttle near the TPS. This rod is very loose and I can move it easily. The other circled item looks like a really small vacuum line. It runs next to the wires going to the alternator. I just noticed it and I'm not sure if it is something I need to fix.

Here's a better picture:

and what is this thing? It wasn't even connected.

I'm sure someone reading right now knows exactly what all this stuff is! Please tell me!

Thanks!!!

The rod is what activates the OMP, or at least controls the flow. The third image is a ground for the oil pressure sender, find it a suitable body ground and leave it there...the other thing im not aware of...

You are right on the first one, but wrong on the second.

The first one is indeed the rod for the MOP.

However the condensor in the third picture is not a ground but rather a capacitor for the oil pressure sensor. It serves several purposes, including buffering the oil pressure sensor gauge and being a protective device in case the pressure sensor fails.

The metal tab on the condensor does get grounded., but the wire does not provide ground.

And the condensor is covered in the FAQ for FC sticky thread found at the top of this, the 2nd gen RX-7 technical section.

The second picture is of the nylon wire guide. It is not hooked up to anything. It simply serves to help keep the wires from moving into anything.
