PLEASE, i need clutch help
my clutch pedal goes straight to the floor...
ok, on the tranny, the thing the slave cylinder pushes, its loose... so the slave cylinder is fully extended, and not building up pressure. i put a prybar on that piece and pumped the clutch, and it built pressure, as soon as i released the prybar, lost all pressure.
what does it mean if that piece is loose?
i know the clutch is good because its fairly new, about a year old, and it wasnt slippin or anything..
please help, i need to fix my car by monday....
planning on pulling off my tranny in the morn.

That piece is not attached in any way, it just sort of sits between the slave (actual) cylinder and the fork.
If you have no pressure in the clutch, check for leaks in the master cylinder, cable, slave cylinder. If you have no leaks then replace the master and slave with OEM quality units.

its not the slave or master cylinder.. the thing that the slave cylinder pushes isnt where it used to be, it has freeplay and about 1 3/4" of it... so much that the SC is fully extended, and wont extend any more.. what is that, a clutch engaging fork??

The clutch fork sits on a pivot in the bell housing. That pivot is a small screw with a rounded head. There's a wire "fork" inside the clutch fork, that grabs the head of the ball, and keeps the fork in position. Either the clutch fork has slipped off the pivot, or the pivot head has snapped off, like it did to mine. Either way, only fix is to drop the tranny.

EDIT: if it slipped off, would that usually be due to a bent fork?

7ist is right but did you try to check your res for fluid and then bleed it off to see if maybe you have some air in there i would do that before dropping the tranny and if it doesnt work then drop the tranny

Well..Sorry,first of all..you should have Researched the Problem Further before you went and Pulled the transmission..I am going to Say that the Problem was that your Hydraulics were shot..the Clutch master, and the Slave should have been Looked at Before you even Pulled the trans...Honestly,it sounded like you Lost the Pressure in the Clutch Lines,(no Fluid.leaking Fluid,.bad seal..).and the Clutch Hit the floor, and beacuse it had No pressure,it could not return..But,On the good side, you got to see WTF a Tranny swap is like on an Rx7.

just took my pressure plate and clutch to CBX
they cant test my pressure plate without flywheel
174.00 for new clutch kit
44.00 for flywheel resurfacing
EDIT: he says i got 40% left on my clutch
also not to be an *******, but if you would have read through, i already said it wasnt hydros

Did it wind up being the pressure plate? I know you probably put it together already....but if not. I would replace your rear main seal, and the 2 seals on the tranny. There's a **** load of oil in your bell housing and behind your flywheel.
Also, judging by that one pic of your clutch and flywheel, it also looks like you need to replace the orings in your oil filter pedestal. That's probably why the drivers side of your motor and the wiring is soaked with oil.
