Please help me!! Whats this worth?

Hey guys I am trying to sell my 1st gen and was offered this car for trade, mine is a V8 swapped 1st gen with lots of extras and is near mint. The 2nd gen this guy wants to trade me is fully restored and looks awesome.....

What do you guys think the 2nd gen is worth? and should I trade?

I dont know much about Fb's but that looks like it could be a pretty good trade. I have a '91 vert and I love it although your 1st gen will certainly blow the doors off the vert. If that vert is as nice as it looks I would think that its worth at least $4000. The Rx8 wheels look pretty good too.

whoa, those side-pipes look absolutely badass on the FB... NICE! The vert looks like its in good condition, but coming from a V8 1st gen, it will be very slow.

Stock 13b under the FC fully rebuilt, the 1st gen has a cammed up L98 350 with a built 700R4
Is the FC really only worth $4,000?????????

I could be wrong about the $4000 depending on whats been done to it and how many miles it has but I see many very clean verts sell on eBay for less.

Monetary wise, this is a hard trade. Your FB might not be valued as high (no clue, just saying) due to it's age and such. And verts tend to be valued higher in general for some reason.

No, verts are slow, slow, slow...if you want a convertible, buy a miata. FC verts are about as heavy as they get and as slow as they get! A V8 first gen is almost as cool as a TII. Hate to say it...but most guys, whether they want to admit it or not, buy a 2nd gen 'cause they can't afford an FD and are able to fool themselves into thinking they are better. FC guys are cheap. Nice car btw...any more pics?

I wouldn't trade it. It's not worth it. Consider all your time, busted knuckles, long nights, etc. I wouldn't. That is one sweet ride. Plus convertibles always leak in a bad storm.

verts are slower.... i know i have one. but they can be fast. weight is the issue there. dont make the trade. you should be able to get the vert and about 2500 or 3000. the other is stock and in good shape. see how bad he wants yours.

you should pay HIM for having a V8 in there!!!

on a serious note though: unless you're specifically looking for an S5 VERT It's not a good trade.

+1

The Vert may be heavier, but a whole lot more fun to cruise in. Especially on a nice day. Verts are the ultimate if you do what is a bolt in TII swap. Then you can tweak all the power you want into it. Nothing better.

I'm not usually a fan of V8s in FBs, but... wow.
