hey guys just swapped a jspec into my car, its starts up and then dies immediatly unless i keep the revs up, i drove it like this and then it died and my battery was dead so i couldn't start it up and then i tried to jump it and that didn't work, wouldn't push start, does anyone have any ideas why my engine isn't working,

 

too many possibilities on this one. Does it have good compression in both rotors?

 

It wouldnt push start? Did you blow a fuse?

If it trys to drop into the low RPM range, but you can keep it alive by revving it, you probably have a vacuum leak, and a pretty serious one.

Charge your battery up and check/recheck everything related to the vacuum system. Also make sure the AFM is plugged in.

 

Did you check engine codes? Even as simple as the Water Themo Sensor of the Air Flow Meter disconnected could cause It to start up than Immediately die.

Check your connections and retrieve your engine codes.

 

Yup. Sounds like a serious intake leak.

 

It's most likely a vacume leak. Do you still have the rat's nest?

Do you have a brother named Wes? if so, I went to school with him.

 

Could be fouled plugs, could be a fuel problem (pump, filter, screen clogged) or lines reversed. Could be a lot of things.
