Exclamation please help

Ok so I have a leak in my oil inlet line to my oil cooler. Well I am trying to get it off, and well how the hell does that thing come off? Do I have to take off the bolt that bolts the line to the cooler. I have been trying to take that off and it is stuck. And on the other end how does that line come off. Twist or just pull.
Sorry for the dumb question, but I left my handy manual at my sisters house.
Thanks
Chris
If I have to get that bolt off, then does anyone know what size of socket it is?

I just replaced my lower oil line yesterday. What a Bitch! I didn't have the right size wrench so did a McGuyver and used my adjustable clamped closed with my vise grips and a foot long metal breaker pole for leverage. I sprayed the bolt first with liquid wrench. The Oil cooler itself kept moving so i used the pole from my speedy lift to counteract. I think the size is either 23mm or 24mm for that bolt. Bolt comes out with a washer on both sides of the plug.

LOL man I know what you mean. That damn bolt was a bitch. I got it off, I tried rigging something up like that, but no way it would budge. I went and bought a 23mm socket and finally got it off. But now how does the other end come off. I tried twisting it of and it doesn't seem to come off. Do I have to remove the hard line that the steel braided line connects to? Im about to give up on this damn task.

The braided and hard line are pretty much connected. At this point it's also a good idea to remove the bracket that holds the upper and lower line. It's one 10mm bolt but keep in mind how it goes back on. To get the other end of the oil line off jack the car up as high as you can get it. Let some liquid wrench sit for a while on the bolt. Go to home depot and buy a 1-2 foot metal pole that'll fit over the end of your socket wrench cause that's what it takes to get the phucker off! Now the reason to get the car up as high as possible is because it's easier when the socket wrench w/your pole extension is pointing down and therefore pulling it to break the bolt free rather than it being somewhat horizontal and having to push up. It's still a bitch though but you'll get.

no no no what you do is, look all over yer garage for the right metric socket... then say "Screw it" and grab your american "counterpart" it's the same right? Ok now that you have stripped the junk out of it... grab those vice grips..... pry at it... that's it! almost.... BAM! I hope you didn't forget the bandaids!! skin grows back.. don't worry... (worked for me)

as for the other part, it has like 2 nutz, find right size wrenches for both.. and do the outside one first... once that is loosened you can loosen the inside one and it comes right out..

Thanks guys. I got the bolt that was a bitch off then the other line I gave up on. The two nuts that I have to loosen, are those on the end of the braided line or the hard line? Sorry for so many ?'s, and thanks for the help.

To anyone buying oil line

Well I got it all fixed. I wanted to let all of you know that if you are planning on replacing those oil lines, have one custom make. I went to a place that specializes in hose, and they made one for $11. It works great. Mazda wanted $185, and even the junk yards wanted more.
