Please clarify this redline thing
OK ive searched and been over this before but Ive recently been re-confused. Ok everywhere says that s-5 have a 8k redline and a 9k tach besides the turbo models. However I Bought a s5 n/a cluster to put in my s4 and it has a 8k tach with a 7k redline. Ive searched and looking in the sticky "what did my fc come with...." and it all says that s5's have 9k tachs, so why doesnt this one?

either the guy who sold you it was telling you bs that it was S5 and might actually be S4 or it's from a turbo model.
either way, why would you want a S5 cluster in a S4? I dont think the S4's can make any power at 8k

NM, i just saw the blurry fine print saying that auto's ahve the 8k tach and 7k redline. I then looked harder and saw the PRNDSL on my cluster. GO ahead and delete the thread.

Well my cluster is all bad so i wanted to replace it. I also have a s5 block and am about to put s5 manifolds on it so, it will be able to get that extra 1k.
