Unhappy please anyone help me out with this power loss

basically for more then 24 hours my battery cannot hold a charge. It dies every 24 hrs. I recently bought this battery like the summer time and i put in an fd alternator. Does anyone have any idea on wats causing it or where i can start to look for the source of the problem. Another thing i find is that when i put it in sports mode or adjust the fan speed for heat or cold air my voltage fluctuates and goes back to normal. Also my fuel light comes on once and a while and stays on. Please can anyone help thanks.

what is your current draw when the car is parked?(should be less than 70mA)

You'll need a digital Multi-meter to check that.

Depending on the draw will depend on what you need to look at.

You may have several problems...

The big one of course is the current drain. First, how good is the wiring to/from the alternator? What voltage output do you have while the car is running?

You could have a high resistance short. A bulb or motor that is stuck on all the time, or pinched wiring that occasionally grounds out.

Most of the voltage fluctuation issues point to the alternator. Was it used? How good/tight is the alt. belt?
These things are where I would start. A battery shop or AutoZone should be able to test your elec system to tell you if it is producing enough current.
