play in my input shaft????

play in my input shaft????
this 86 NA tranny i pulled from a parts car has about 1/5" play in the input shaft... the odometer on the car read 115K.... is this normal in our trannies or should it be rock solid?
also I can flex the output shaft quite a bit by prying on it with a screwdriver...
