plastic pieces on bottom of injectors

Pulled the primary and secondary fuel injectors out on my t2 tonight, i was trying to pull the rubber seal off the bottom of it and the whole plastic tip just crumbled in my hands. 2 of the other ones did the same thing. Do i have to get new injectors, or can i just buy new pieces for the ends? Thanks...

Any fuel injection shop worth their salt will put new pintle caps on any injector that it services.

You should also get them cleaned and tested while you have 'em out.

I second the cleaning and testing. You can even have them flow matched to make sure they all flow xxx cc/min. Its expensive, but its better than a new set of injectors cost wise.

I got my injectors done. They tested them twice once before cleaning and once after. Got all new caps and o-rings and they even painted mine. I got them back in a week. Would have been sooner but I sent them out just as the blackout hit

Last time this question was posed, I mentioned that the dealership doesn't even have a part number, atleast down here they don't. A later reply said that Mazdatrix does carry those, as 89t295k mentioned.

They do in Canada.

At least at Kesworth Mazda, in Kitchener Ontario.

I don't see why just that one dealership would only be selling pintle caps.
