I have done my 3rd ge. in BLURPLE (purple, Blue) and it is holdong really well through the winter months. I had it on since August I think. I have some photos floating around here on the forums. Great stuff and real cheap considering what a real paint job costs. I plan on peeling this summer for a different color...

Single exahust on the driver side? I might've seen you on 95 south on Sunday; if so, car looks really good in person!

I am almost certain we'll be dipping the Z, hopefully very soon...so I have some questions.

How does it hold up to everyday stuff like birdshit or tree sap?
The guy I spoke to at a franchised Dip Garage made a big deal about the number of coats- seven everywhere and an extra four on the lower body/rockers, etc.- did you guys get that?
How much material did it take and at what cost?

What condition was the car in and what level of prep did you do?

Plasti dip is very thin. An fc would probably take 2.5/3 gallons. I dipped my wagon, crx and 350z. the wagon and crx have been outside the whole time and have lasted all winter fine no rips i even pressure washed them. Its very durable if applied with a lot of coats.

I recently cleaned up some rust on my car and sprayed over it with Permatex rust stopper. Would there be any kind of reaction from the rust stopper or any kind of bubbling that would happen in those areas? I am pretty interested in this since it doesn't cost much and would be really easy to touch up spots that get dinged or anything. Does anyone have any experience with putting plastidip over rust stopper?
