Are you talking about the WPC treatment?

Not WPC.

Plasma spray is the evolution of the flame spray process that Mazda used in the 60s on the Cosmo Sport aluminum side housings to deposit steel to the wear surface and that Racing Beat used used to deposit Cermet onto the wear surfaces of their alum side housings.

Material is heated to its liquid state and sprayed onto the substrate.
