Pioneer stereowiring
I have a 1990 RX-7 Convertible that had an aftermarket stereo in it. I bought a Pioneer CD/Cassette from another 90 convertible, but I'm missing something on the wiring. The car wiring has 2 rectangular connectors. An 8 pin and a 12 pin.
The OEM stereo has a round 6 pin conector and a 4 pin, and a 3 pin.
I don't know what it is that I'm missing. An adapter cable maybe, or something else.
The remote amplifiers seem to be there (found 2) One behind glove box and the other behind driver seat by spare tire.
The car is all original except for the stereo. I'd really like to get this original stereo back in it.

Round plugs are for the factory amps
4 pin and 3 pin plugs sounds like you didn't get the correct radio for the car. If you have a 89-91 car you need a 89-91 radio. Not the 86-88 radio that it sounds like you have.
