replaceing my power steering gear and they are telling my to remove the pinch bolt at the steering column u- joint which is what releases the steering gear from the steering column and the bolt looks like it could have been a 8mm but its all rounded off...is there a special tool i should be useing??working on it right now so any help would be great

 

Check the center to see if there is dirt caked into a hex head or a start bit type socket making it look like a flat surface......

OR Get a dremel and flatten two of the sides back out to get a wrench on it...

OR Get a BIG ASSED pair of vice grips and clamp down on that buggar as hard as you can...
