Pilot bearing bushing seal... damage on install?

i just replaced my new seal and new pilot bearing, since i damaged them putting the tranny in. but this time when the tranny finally gave to the wiggle and jiggle, i think the pilot bearing SEAL is damaged... (only cos i looked at it a final time before i jamed the tranny in.

now everything is finally in place, and i am paranoid that this will cause catastrophic failure. does anyone or have anyone had a similar problem? i know i really should r and r it but ... this is the second set i've installed i gotta wait another 2 days to get another dumb seal.

thanks for all help.

trust me, never had a problem with no using the seal and have done 4 different fc clutch jobs and neither one of them had any premature pilot bearing failure due to not using the stupid seal.
