A-pillar pod and automatic seatbelts

I know I read somewhere that the A-pillar pod will not work with the automatic seatbelts found on S5 coupes. Is this because the pod would block the retraction of the belts or because the A-pillar molding is different? I'm assuming it's because the pod would prevent proper belt operation, which doesn't matter to me, since my driver's side belt hasn't worked in two years.

Dunno about that, I have a dual pod and a single pod on mine and there is no problem. The belt mechanism doesn't extend THAT far down the a-pillar.

Interesting, I wonder why Mazdatrix says it will not work then. I'd never read anywhere else that there was a problem until the other day.

The molding is different...... so it doesnt fit perfectly. Alot of people use a heat gun or something like that to kinda mold the one on there.... thats pretty much your only choice.

I've used the A-pillar pod on my 90 N/A it works fine. You have to stretch it just a bit, but it works great. I had the single pod but even if i did have the dual I can't see my seatbeat getting so close that it jams on or breaks the gauge.
