flushness <3

wow, beautiful cars. A lot of people seem to be running 8" and 9" wheels with 35 to 38 offset, and its looking hella flush!

My gold meshies, I believe they're the AR598, 3 piece wheels by American Racing are super flush on the front and somewhat on the rear. I don't know the offset though! and they now r.i.p. Intrax springs and tokicos blues (non adj.)
These pictures aren't exactly amazing to show my offset...

I'll be picking up some vert bbs meshies soon, and painting/powdercoating them bronze. I was wondering what spacers are needed to make the vert wheels absolutely flush?

even stock wheels + stock tires on several of the FC's Ive had have rubbed the front fender on one side or the other, at stock ride height.

Currently I'm running S5 TII wheels with 245-45-16's on all 4 corners with no rubbing issues. - except sometimes on the front fenders and I've noticed a rub mark on the spring too, so stock fenders + 245's = definatly a tight fit.

On mk3 supra wheels I've ran 255-60-16's at the track in the rear... big tire, no issues rubbing.

I don't have any pictures but last summer my "street" wheels were 17x8 momo's with 235-35-17's and they were "flush"... if I find the offset or pictures I'll gladly post them up.

I need to raise the fronts about 5mm or so.
It'll clear on full lock. No rubbing on fenders, wells.

fronts are rolled and pulled a few mm.
using rubber mallet / heat gun

225/45's all around 17x8.5 +10 , 17x9 +5

I want to get +25mm spacers all around -- on stock fenders.

Definitely take some pictures for us! How much is the front sticking out, maybe 5 or 10 mm?

i'll take some pics of mine tomorrow.

btw, i fit 18X9.5+35 285/35R18 in the rear with no rubbing and no fender rolling but some probably won't believe me because everyone tells me you can't fit a 285 without some form of fender modification. trailing arms are stock still as well. you do however need good AAWS bushings or eliminators because it is a tight fit.

Heres mine. 17x8, 17x9; +35 offset. 225, 255 tire. Id probably go a little lower offset to get more flush... maybe a +25 ~ +32. With my 35, I had to roll the fenders in the front.

Great thread, lots of beautiful FC's !!! Flush look FTW

Anyone know of a good resource for finding the offset of stock rims? For example the Mustang GT's. I've got a couple ideas in mind, but I'd like to know if the offset would work w/ the FC
