thats too hehe, The car looked like it was beaten with a baseball bat...in some spots, looked like it was hit a bunchp of times with a pin punch around the rear fenders...the paint was badly oxidised body stuff mostly..and then the mechanical..new tranny, flywheel, clutch...stuff like that. I will try to find my pictures....But i think my little sister stole them! :flamemad:

Thanks again

what do you use for "shiny making?" any specific wax or polish you'd recommend?

that colour is beautiful, that car is very nice. I love the "clear" turn singals on the front too.

That paint looks great, did you paint yourself?

I like how you painted the moldings, the car looks much better and less dated with body-color moldings.

How much did it cost? Looks real good

I just woke up, awesome to see all these replies..

For the shiny, i used mothers car wash, and a mothers stage 2 glaze and sealer. Now you can top it off with stage 3 mothers carnuba wax, but i just did the glaze. Sooo damn clean, and after you finish using both products....It's amazingly smooth and soft. Water beeds off like you've never seen. The paint and body work costed $1800 CDN and then the molding and touch up was $340. Thats my friends cat :P

Also...i'm not sure the exact colour name, but i think it was silver light blue metallic...

I will get before pictures up too

Great paint! You should be very happy. I also like those fat exhaust tips and painting the body trim same as.

Which brings up a question I've had for a while: does anyone know if the Series V body moulding fits into the Series IV body? I might be inclined to go with S5 mouldings when I paint my 76 T2 because they are smooth faced. Does anyone know.

Your pictures also reminds me of my beef with the FC "passing lights," as Mazda calls them. I can't stand how they collect moisture. They **** me off! The pic is a perfect example of the problem. When a FC's paint looks so good, those misty passing lights stick out like two sore thumbs.

I have a fantasy about fabricating a clear lens ('99 JDM style) to fit flush with the bumper skin.

Anyway, congrats on the clean paint, dude.
