Pics of wider (225 to 245) tires on Stock TII rims...
If anyone is running wider-than-stock Tires (say 225 - 245) on the Stock TII S5 wheels, can you please post pics?
Please also list:
A. Tire Size
B. Tire Brand/Model
I'm interested in seeing how badly the wider tires bulge on the stock wheels.
I'd like to get wider than the 205 tires, but still want a relatively straight/stiff sidewall so it handles well.
Thanks in advance.

Thanks, KenshinFC- a few more questions...
a. Does the car handle any differently with the wider tires?
b. Do the 225's sidewalls bulge at all or are they relatively straight up & down?
c. What series 225's do you run so the odometer isn't off?
d. Finally, what brand tires and how do you like them?

If you can go with 235's on phone dials I bet money you can put them on wider S5 rims, I am sure that your car will handle like **** (just like mine).
Damn the dude that had the car before me was dumb.

The 215 Azenis on my car are pretty much straight up and down. When I had 225 Nitto 555R's on the car, they bulged a little...But I think it was due to less pressure being in the tire.

Justin has 245's and 225's on his S5 turbo wheels, and Im about to have a similar setup on mine. Ill get some pics of his this weekend. 245's fit fine, but they do stick out from the rim some. But still nowhere near as bad as my 225's on 6" wide n/a rims.

225's on the 14x5.5 NA rims ?!?!?!?
Yep that is funky looking. The flat face of phone dial wheels would make the bulge of the sidewalls obvious. I am going to experiment with some Ebay 215/60's on my Gsl-Se wheels for a while.

you cant go past 225 with stock S5 wheels. You try if you want, but I guarantee you that nothing over 225 will sit in the bead. I'm running 215 F and 225 R.

Little comparison for those interested. My 225's on 6" rims is about the same as 255's on 7" wide turbo wheels. And I know someone who ran 255's on their turbo rims, but 245 is the widest I would go.

i got a 89 tII with the 16x7 factorys and i got 225/50/16s on there now and they fit almost like they wre made for it. the sidewalls really do not bulge out at all. they do but u got to look to see it. also a 245/50/16 will fit on the stock rim but will bulge out some. the only problem is it will bulge out on the inside and hit the stock spring. i bet u could get a 235 to fit on the factory setup thouhg. also i work at a tire shop so i get to try this stuff out whenever these size tires come in.
edit: when i say 245s wont fit that is on the front by the way. u can go as wide as u want on the rear with the stockers
