Pics of what i did today!
i decided to do some of the cheap mods that people have been talking about lately. and after doing them i like them!
here are some pics of what i did today to my car, sorry for the low quality but i only have a camera phone. and one thing i cant decide on is whether or not to smoke (with white paint) the front clear lenses like i did with the side ones. plus on the rear are the red light/reflectors supposed to be one big piece? because i couldnt get the reflector part off the light part.
first pic is just one of the tail lights with painters tape on it ready to be painted. i was amazed at how scratched and faded they were when i got them off. second pic is passanger side front/side turn signal (smoked with white paint). third pic is front and side turn signals (i just left the front one clear). fourth is the drivers side front signal (clear).... then both front and side.

yeah, i know, thats because may paint sucks ***, it almost looks like the PO fucktard painted the whole car with spray paint. pluss paint is chipping everywhere on it. and i painted them white because i had some extra old white spray paint.
i thought about painting the grill, but most of the cheap white paint is chipping off and i dont feel like spending the time on it when im going to swap it, the rear and the modlings with S5 stuff.
and today i painted my interior pieces black and it looks really good. but i havent decided if i want to spray the dash or just find a black one.

Many don't realize that primer is formulated strictly for bonding & smoothing.
It is not intended to protect steel.
It is NOT weather or waterproof.
You need a finish paint for that.
That's why you see cars in primer with rust bleeding through.
There are flat & satin finish paints if you want that look.

flat and satin finishes slowly become shiny with time, and not always al at ones leaving part shiny and other still dull, striaghten and fill everything out perfectly smoooth and go with gloss black and polish it out, it SOO hot!!! i love it when black car are done right, finish looks like it still wet hahah i dont know why i'm reviving this thread, i was looking for pics of tinted front turn signals . . .

i like the AE style tails, i was thinking of painting mine to match my car also but i opted for S5's instead.
if you paint the bumpers you need a flexible paint, rattle can paint will chip off in a matter of weeks. i use plasti-color paint with my sunrise red FC and it matches damn near perfect and can be wetsanded and polished to look like the original paint and it won't crack.

I've seen people use normal rattle can but you have to do a really good and careful job.

The hardest part is wet sanding the damn thing after every coat because rattle cans don't atomize very well and the pressure is erradic.
