I'm sorry but that car makes me want to die...

The spoiler is terrible

The front bumper is OK, but still not so great

Btw, your hood looks a little wavey when it is down, maybe its the pic but I noticed that.

Rear bumper doesn't fit with the rest of the style of the car

Did you get a new custom paint job? Looks like it, then why not paint the black part of the s4 tails, they stand out a ton.

Why do you have a headlight air inlet cover when your intake isn't there? Granted I am in the same boat as you since I did my CAI, but I'm going to replace mine with a normal one. Just wondering your reasoning behind having it.

Wow, really mature man...

Quote from thread starter "Any comments are welcome." He wanted opinions and comments, I gave him my honest opinion. Did I ask for your opinion? No... You just decided to flame by saying "btw your car looks like ***!" I could not care less what you think of my car, in fact I'm glad you think it looks like ***, I thought so back then too! That's the way my car used to look, haven't gotten an updated picture yet with the s5 bumpers (front one custom cut out center, looks a lot better imo), s5 moldings, s5 aero mirrors, etc.

Jealousy? Not at all. I'm not a fan of carb, I'm definitely not a fan of body kits on 2g rx7's when the s5 was perfect on its own, and s4 had a nice classic look to it, I think all body kits on 2g rx7's look terrible. Wing looks like he's copying a supra, honestly, rear bumper doesnt flow well with the front bumper and sideskirts (probably because it's from a different kit!).

I just gave my honest opinion, sorry that people like you don't want anyone to say anything bad, does that mean that only positive opinions are allowed?

I don't know what you people are talking about, the wing being too big. It's not even as tall as the top of the car! I think it flows well with the car, and isn't too excessive. It doesn't protrude from the back of the car, and the side profile looks nice. Get off the wagon, haters.

Off the wagon? Haters? I dunno what you're talking about, but last time I checked people were entitled to their own opinions. You seem to have one that the spoiler isn't too big and looks good. That's very good and I'm glad for you! But some people, unfortunately, don't agree Too bad that people form opinions on things based on what THEY believe, I'm just sorry you can't see past your own view to recognize that.

Opinions

First, I would like to thank everyone for their opinions. I knew before I posted that some RX7 enthusiasts don't care for spoilers, body kits, etc.....

Everone has an opinion of what makes their car look good, and I take no offense to anyone's opinion. I am just glad that all of our cars don't look the same.

As they say, variety is the spice of life.

dDub

The hood is actually flawless. Must be the pic.
It was once FI and the headlight air inlet cover was orignally for that.
The extra air does not hurt the carb either. It will soon be a TII though.
My engine travels to Texas Tuesday to BDC for a streetport and rebuild......
I have seen tailights painted the same as the car, and I did not care for that.
There is no rear bumper for this kit. There are only rear bumper caps.....yech

One again thanx to all.

Michael

Ah I see, good then. I wasn't sure about the hood, in one of the pics it just looked wavey, thought I'd ask. And I am in the same boat with the inlet, that's why I asked.

Anyways, glad you took it lightly, looks like you've put a lot of hard work into it, and if that's what you like then great! That's all that matters.

The only problem is that opinions are supposed to be made by educated people...lol, you proved that wrong...lol, jk man just can't stand the fact you didn't have one nice thing to say at all, kind of makes you sound high and mighty to me.

I like the wing and the front airdam. But then again I've got almost the same setup on my car. What front airdam is that? Mines a Kaminari from many years ago with a Wings West Supra style wing. Had the pieces put on the car almost 10 years ago with a fresh paint job.

Front Bumper

It is a Corksport Type II bumper ($299), which is a copy of a Border Type II bumper ($1,041).

The wings is a Wings West RX7 Super Style w/LED brake light incorporated into it.

Educated huh? What's educated then? I see a picture, I give my opinion. You don't have to be very educated to do that! But still if for some reason you think only well "educated" people can give opinions, I guarantee you I'm educated enough. No I didn't have anything nice to say, sorry but I didn't see anything I liked. My taste is not the same as yours, get used to it.

i can't see the pictures but from the feedback i'm assuming this was the gray FC that was at rotary revolution. If so, I thought the car looked allright aside from the spoiler. I think the car would look pretty badass with no wing at all.

Car

PureSephireth

I was at the Rotary Revolution, but the car was blue, as it is now.

I drove down in the Michigan cravan.

dreamnshadow

I took the TII seats down to the local upholstery shop and had them redone. The material on the doors is the same.

Yep, me too. Thing had a virtually empty engine bay. Everything was ripped out. It was pretty cool.

Wrong car

n4ji

This is a different car. I drove it down from Mt. Pleasant, Michigan for the Rotary Revolution, and then drove it back.

Just wanted to clarify.

Thanks

I think this thread is through, but a couple of people have asked for it back, so I am re-opening it.

Make sure you guys keep it civil (there are more than a couple replies bordering on flaming and hate) or it will be closed again so fast you heads will spin.

Flaming

I would like to hope that all of us adults would be able to read/look at a thread without being uncivil.

EVERYONE is entitled to their OWN opinion, and it is just that......THEIR OPINION!!!
Nothing more or nothing less. There is no need to attack another's opinion or thoughts.

I, for one like to read the comments of my peers on this forum to learn and to stimulate the thinking process. We all see or interpret things differently due to the simple fact that we are all diffrent due to our environment and life experiences.

Thanks Icemark

Michael

I am watching this thread as well.

I would like to hope that all of us adults would be able to read/look at a thread without being uncivil.
The problem is that 75% of those who post in this forum are not adults.

BTW, nice car. I also remember it from the Revolution....

Overdriven

They are Intrax lowering springs and are suppose to drop it 2 full inches.

I went from 14" telephone wheels to the Enkei 17" wheels.

Thanx

Michael
